I thought this was Ted Nugent

I would expect the Nuge to own a Hellcat.
That combo is exactly like what I’d want too.

I dig that color combo

Id take a manual v6 over an automatic hellcat
![]() 06/26/2015 at 17:57 |

Just because it doesn’t have a manual?

I believe that’s his cousin, James Mugent.

That’s a big part, but I’d also rather feel the joy of mashing the gas pedal and using all the power instead of feathering the gas on an overpowered v8 if that makes sense. Kind of like that whole “drive a slow car fast not a fast car slow” idea.
Full disclosure: I’m saving up my pennies for a charger hellcat next year, but those are automatic only so nono room to complain

The V6 Chally doesn’t get a manual.

Well, jokes on me for not even checking. Surprising.

Its hard to believe the writer of
Catscratch Fever
is so eloquent.

Because of course he did...
Seriously though, what took him so long? I’d have thought he would have bought Hellcat #1 with a custom gun rack installed...

Also, skip the Charger Hellcat and get the Challenger. The back seat is big enough for adults and it comes in manual.

I have a kid to put back there though, its tons easier with an open door. Unless the front seats slide forward far enough....

I tried explaining to a friend that if you’re driving one of these, it would be exciting as-is, even with a (shudder) Ecoboost or a V-6 because LOOK AT IT IT’S FREAKING AWESOME and he advised, no, everyone will notice the lack of V-8 badge and you’ll be ridiculed for having an underpowered car.
And if you’re ever afflicted with this attitude that’s when it’s time to exit the high-scrutiny world of “enthusiasts” because anything less than the most kickass perfect thing is somehow unexciting and inferior.

Don't forget to thank the Boyz at Penske Vehicle Services in Auburn Hill Ted! They received the car prior to anyone and went over it with a fine tooth comb and gapped all your fenders, hood, trunk lid and made it what it is now... :)
